Dear Nathan,
I think I met the girl you are looking for : at 75 feet deep, without any mask, without fins, without dive bothes, a true mermaid ! And, medium lenght hair, that's all I have been able to see.
It appenned this morning, in hight tide, exactly where the may 10th's rescue took place. I was there, with my friend photographer, to shoot 2 whales we had located the day before.
José went near the whales, and I stayed 30 feet in front of him. A human figure appeared 60 feet away from me, and swam straight ahead to me, then suddenly the figure plunged deep into the blue, just below me. I had got my little disposable camera, and I worked just in time before she disappeared.
José did'nt see anything. We have sent all the films to his lab. We'll not get the photos before 5 days.
Please call me. I'll be at the Diving Center this afternoon.
